Great Barr Hall planning application update

It’s been a while since we last updated you on the progress of the Great Barr Hall planning application but rest assured during the summer break there has been plenty of work going on behind the scenes by members of Beacon Action Group.

We understood that the applicants were re-submitting the application for the lakes in September following their withdrawal in January. However, we have been in contact with the case officer in the Planning team and were advised that Walsall Council are still waiting on a response to their request for further information which they sent to the architect’s way back in April.  Until the Planning department receive this information the application is not likely to be determined.  We have also spoken to the Historic Buildings Inspector at English Heritage who has also not been informed of any further progress in recent months either.

We will continue to monitor the application and update you all as soon as we obtain any further details. In the meantime, objections are still being received at the council offices so if you haven’t  submitted your letter of objection yet, please ensure you take the opportunity to get this done.
