Great Barr residents urged to not respond to planning application yet

Beacon Action Group is urging all Great Barr residents to hold fire before responding to the recent planning application.

There are a number of important questions that have yet to be answered including what benefit, if any, this development will have on our local community and the protected greenbelt.

We will be holding a public meeting in around 2-3 weeks time, please spare the time to attend, before you offer your view on the consultation.  Walsall Council have agreed to extend the time available for responses and although we haven’t been given confirmation of the closing date, it is likely to be towards the end of January.

Keep an eye out on this website for information about the application, Beacon Action Group will be reading the application in full, pulling out all the key facts, so you can make the most informed decision. If you would like to take a look at the planning application yourself please visit: www.walsall.gov.uk/planning – the reference numbers are: 13/1567/FL and 13/1568/LB

1 Response to Great Barr residents urged to not respond to planning application yet

  1. Lorna Wayne says:

Unfortunately we will be unable to attend the meeting on Saturday 1st Feb. but we would like to issue a “NO” against planning permission for an hotel and homes on this green belt. The traffic is already a problem in this area and it is good to see green fields and this should not be encrouched upon.
    regards Lorna & Brian Wayne
